I don't know what catergory to submit this (or the image I last uploaded) into. What do you think? Surreal or Conceptual?
I guess I will explain it a bit because it has deep meaning to me. The cage is symbolic of entrapment, the bees of the harm that could be faced if one were to try to exist beyond the confines of introversion, and the exaggerated features both to symbolize feeling different from everyone else and the desire to fit in (western society considers thin women to be the more attractive). We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
